Spell Style Crush Sara Escudero

How would you describe your style?

My style is really relaxed and laid-back- I love to incorporate boho vibes in whatever I pull together.

Do you think being Spanish influences your style no matter where you are in the world?

My culture influences a lot of what I wear, but I think I pull more from my surroundings wherever I am. Being me and feeling comfortable is the most important!

What is LA life like compared to Europe?

It’s so different but I love it! There are so many things I could tell you but let me start the biggest change for me: people never walk in LA, you drive everywhere! In the beginning this was really weird for me because I used to walk everywhere from the supermarket, to restaurants, to shopping, and now I do all of that with my car. However, I have to say I kind of love it, but I do miss walking around in my city. It was a way to stay active and now I have to force myself to walk around and work-out!

I also I cook more here than I used to cook in Spain. It’s difficult here to find a good Spanish restaurant so I cook all the good food I miss from my country. It makes me feel at home- I love to cook Spanish omelets, “gazpacho”, meatballs... hehe!

Working is also easier here in LA- there are more opportunities with work and the everyone is open to new and creative ideas. They understand this weird job and respect it. ☺ Taking pictures is also so easy, this city inspires me so much, each corner is picture perfect! I love to drive around with my partner in crime, Diego @collagevintage2, to discover new spots where we can shoot and create new content!

There are endless differences, each one unique and amazing in its own way- but I’ll leave it at that!

Have you always been a roamer? Why did you start travelling?

When I was a kid, I only traveled around Spain with my parents. Spain is a breathtaking place, but I always dreamed of traveling beyond our borders. When I landed my first job, I saved money so I could have new adventures in different countries that I always wanted to discover!

What was your favourite Spell piece to shoot?

Love them all but I have to choose one I would say the Dahlia Maxi Skirt and crop! I love this outfit so much!

What is your go-to skincare routine?

I try to keep my routine pretty minimal as I don’t like having a ton of products and don’t really believe in miracle products. For me, the most important thing you can do for good skin is taking care of it from the inside out. I try to drink a lot of water and eat fruit every morning. I also never go to bed with make up on, I remove it with Avène gentle cleanser lotion. It’s my favourite make-up remover, after I wash my face with water and apply moisturiser. Easy!

Where to next?

My next trip is Miami to celebrate my birthday, can’t wait! I also hope I can come back to Byron Bay and the Gold Coast soon!
