A few of our staff members (you know who you are) love to do beach picnics, outdoor movie nights and just make things look pretty because they have a need for things to be fun and aesthetically beautiful.. we get that! It’s kind of how I lived my life most of my 20s and into my 30s (until I had kids and my life turned into a big fat 'just surviving, as if I have time for fairylights' mess! haha!)

So, leading up to festival season, we know that not everyone can afford to glamp or be VIPs (and let’s face it most of the fun stuff happens out in the trenches anyway! I remember once at Offshore festival in Torquay (15 years ago!!) I saw a sheep run through our tent sight, like, it literally jumped over the guy ropes! You can bet your bottom dollar you don’t get that in the VIP glamping section!) So, if you’re camping at your next festival (be it Bluesfest or Coachella or beyond) we thought we’d show you a sure fire way to LOVE your site, and more importantly, have the tent all your girlfriends want to chill at! I guess you could say it’s camping, boho style… is that Bomping…?!

Using an ordinary tent the girls just used some rugs, throws, cushions from around the house to make a beautiful little boho camp! And before you think, hang on where am I going to find a generator at Bluesfest for those fairylights – here are a few options if you want to roll with some lighting:

Basic: No power source? Battery powered fairy lights from Typo Store.
Super pimped: Festoon lights (like the larger bulbs hanging at front of tent) from Bunnings (here) they need a power source so… you can get a portable power pack that has power points so you could plug in lights, phone charger, hair curler, whatever!
Other rad ideas:
1. If you’re wanting to lay down a rug but don’t want to ruin your best kilim, we suggest our Wandering Folk boho picnic rugs on our website, and guess what, they’re waterproof! We adore them.
2. Use old candle jars or biscuit tins to create little cactus gardens. (DIY blog post on A Beautiful Mess)
3. Want a feather head crown? Follow our DIY post HERE.
4. Crochet Blanket (perfect size, not too big!) and crochet cushion covers found on Spell.

If you do pimp yours, show us yours with #spellfestivalstyle #spellbohocamp we can’t wait to see!! xx Lizzy & Team Spell
