We recently journeyed to South Australia for our collaborative event with Jurlique, and we were so amazed at what we saw, experienced...and tasted!

We began our journey by of course heading to a spot that we've had in our location files for a long long time, the salt flats at Bumbunga Lake. A two hour drive from where we were, we set off to shoot a couple of really special things (you'll see one so soon, the other not for a little while yet!). It was WINDY, but so otherworldly and we await with baited breath to see the images that come back from Emily's film!

After the shoot mayhem we returned to a beautiful dinner at our accomodation at Mount Lofty House, a culinary experience to write home about, albeit we were windswept and exhausted, we went to bed with full tummies and hearts.

The next day was all about the wines, we started at D'Arenberg which we dubbed the mini-Mona of wineries, every corner a sensory and visual experience, where we got to create our own special wine based on our own tastebuds - it was so cool! If you ever get to go, this is a must experience of the SA wine scene.

Next up, we headed to lunch at Down The Rabbit Hole Wines. We have been friends with the creators of DTRH for years and years, so it was beautiful to head there and see it all in person! What we weren't expecting was the incredible lunch experience - W O W. The food was fresh, local and amazing. Definitely a place not to miss if you're visiting SA, not only because of the Insta moments everywhere but that beautiful foodie surprise that awaits.

Despite some weather challenges we decided we had to see Gull Rocks - the incredible sandy cliffs along the coastline. Reminiscent of the Grand Canyon and landscapes of the US, this was an incredible sight. Some of our braver girls got some epic windswept shots up there!
The next day we took in all that our incredible accommodation Mount Lofty House had to offer in its European charm. Honestly, you could be in the South of France or the rolling hills of Tuscany at this property. The sun was out so we basked for a delightful picnic on the grounds (we took a little local piece of Le Weekend in the way of a picnic rug with us for our guests to sit on!).

For dinner, we headed to the most romantic spot at The Lane Vineyard. For a welcome drink, they took us to a boathouse that was built specifically for a marriage proposal (we told you, romantic!) and then enjoyed the best of their local food and wine.
Somehow, our time had already come to an end but not without the most beautiful farewell with our group, we ended our trip with a visit to the Jurlique Farm, the biodynamic and organic farm where Jurlique has been producing botanicals for their products for 30 years! We were welcomed onto Kaurna land by Peramangk elder Uncle Ivan with a smoking ceremony.

Hearing about the process and being on the land they created from was beautifully inspiring and those scents and feels come out in the product. We then sat for another divine culinary treat for a catered lunch at the farm by Emma Reeves - the food was absolutely stunning incorporating ingredients and bursts of flavour directly from the Farm!

We then farewelled our guests and dispersed, very full to the brim with delicious wines and eye opening food experiences, but mostly with new stories to tell of our memories created in South Australia.
