Our Desert Wanderer Playdress in High Noon was first launched in 2014 and features one of the very first hand drawn prints by Spelly. Our playdress has since become more than that, a sought after Spell piece, a treasure and elusive enigma. Our Playdress is crafted from the dreamiest re-purposed viscose in dusty pinks, golds and creams that mimic the desert landscape at high noon. Truly nostalgic and rare, we see this one worn with a leather jacket and boots while dancing the night away to your favourite band or with sandals and a basket for market mornings. The perfect throw on travel piece, this dress is for the wanderlust wanderers.

While we try very hard to only produce the quantities of fabric that are needed to create our garments, sometimes there is excess. As part of our commitment to ensure no textiles produced for Spell go to waste, we launched our Renew initiative to utilise our leftover, or better known as deadstock, fabric from past collections. We have created these beautiful Renew items that can be loved again, allowing these fabrics to live the long life they deserve.

Made from deadstock fabric. Deadstock fabric is the term used to refer to fabric leftover after production. Our Renew collection was born of our commitment to prevent our deadstock fabric from becoming waste.
